These locations often carry significant existing spectrum use before temporary event systems are deployed. Once production, security, venue operations, exhibitors, broadcasters and specialist contractors begin transmitting, the margin for error narrows rapidly.
The problem is compounded by the widespread use of equipment brought in from overseas. Touring and imported devices are often configured for bands that do not align with Australian allocations or local regulatory requirements. Left unresolved, these mismatches can introduce technical, legal and operational risk at the most critical stages of event delivery.
